The big bang theory

Introduction

The creation of the universe is explained by many astronomers, popularly known as the Big Bang Theory. According to the big bang, the whole universe was started with an infinitely hot, infinitely dense singularity (Primary Nebula). Then there was a secondary separation which resulted in the formation of Galaxies. These then expanded into stars and billions of planets.

This widely accepted phenomenon is explained by the Qur’an. How wonderful the Qur’an is! How accurately it explains the Big Bang theory 1400 years ago.

Cosmic clouds in the universe

The scientific world is amazed by this dark cosmic cloud that existed before the birth of planets, moons, and galaxies

The Earth and the Solar System originated from this cosmic cloud.

The Holy Qur’an, which was revealed 1400 years ago, invites our attention to the conditions under which the universe came into being.

ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ٱئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَآ أَتَيْنَا طَآئِعِينَ

Then He turned to heaven while it was all smoke. He said to heaven and the earth: “Come (into being), willingly or unwillingly.” They said: “Here we come (into being) in willing obeisance.”

Until the first half of the twentieth century, it was believed that the universe was stable and not subject to significant changes.

The fact that the universe is expanding was later discovered.

The new conclusion is due to the invention of the Hubble telescope and advances in science and technology.

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ 

  And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the power to do so.

Stephen Hawking observes that the Cosmic clouds, called ‘dukhan’ by the Holy Qur’an, were not only a flood of protons, neutrons, electrons but also particles.
